Youthwork Playground
A KA153 Erasmus+ training course bringing together youth workers from five countries to develop practical facilitation skills, exchange non-formal education methods, and lay the foundation for this workbook.
The Youth Work Playground took place over eight days in Puerto de la Cruz, Spain in December 2025. It was designed around a simple premise: youth workers learn best by doing — by experiencing the methods they will later use, reflecting on them together, and adapting them to the contexts they actually work in.
Participants from Malta, Latvia, Romania, Türkiye, and Spain worked through icebreakers, team building, non-formal education techniques, reflection and evaluation, and digital tools. The programme set the foundation for this workbook — a practical resource intended to be used long after the training ended, by participants and by anyone else in youth work who finds it useful.
